One more COVID-19 death has been reported, bringing the total number of deaths to 24 since the start of the outbreak in Malaysia, said Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

According to the latest posting on his Facebook page, Dr Noor Hisham said the deceased was a 35-year-old Malaysian (Case-1056).

The deceased had travelled to Indonesia in early March 2020 and showed symptoms for five days before being admitted to Hospital Kuala Lumpur on 18 March 2020.

The deceased tested positive for COVID-19 on 20 March 2020. According to Noor Hisham, the patient's condition deteriorated day after day and was pronounced dead on 26 March at 9.30pm.
