The Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced four new cases of positive COVID-19 in the country on Thursday.

This brings the cumulative number of positive cases to 8,600 cases with 208 active cases with COVID-19 infectivity.

Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a statement today, out of the four reported cases, three were imported cases of overseas infections.

The other case is a localized case of Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) screening at Enche' Besar Hajjah Khalsom General Hospital, Johor.

"The MOH would also like to announce 40 cases have recovered and allowed to be discharged today.

"The cumulative number of cases fully recovered from COVID-19 and discharged from the ward is 8,271 cases (96.2 per cent)," he added.

There has been no increase in death recorded today, with the death toll remaining at 121 cases.
