The Pharmaceutical Enforcement Division of the Terengganu Health Department raided a premise at Jalan Pasir Panjang near here three days ago and seized more than RM300,000 worth of cosmetic products.

State Health Director Dr Mohamad Omar said the products, in more than 3,000 boxes, were seized as they were not registered under the Control of Drugs and Cosmetic Regulations, which is and offence under the Sale of Drugs Act 1952.

"It is learnt that the products are sold for RM80 per bottle, while the capital is only RM10 per bottle," he told a media conference here Tuesday.

He said in a raid conducted last Jan 11 in Gong Badak, the department seized more than RM20,000 worth of cosmetic products, also for the same reason.

The cosmetics also had no product notification, he added.
