The Coalition of pro-Barisan Nasional non-governmental organisations (PRO-BN NGO) have declared their support for the Sarawak government's ban on Lembah Pantai Member of Parliament Nurul Izzah Anwar from entering the state.

Its president Zulkarnain Mahdar said this was in line with the state's power of autonomy to bar any individual who could be a threat to it.

"Sarawak also understands the feelings of the people of Sabah over the issue of Nurul Izzah's meeting with Jacel Kiram, the daughter of Jamalul Kiram who was responsible for the incursion incident in Kampung Tanduo, Lahad Datu," he said in a statement.

Zulkarnain said the people of Sarawak were also sad over the death of one of the victims in the incident, Special Branch officer ASP Michael Padel, who was from Sarawak.

He said Jacel was continuing her father's efforts in the campaign to claim Sabah in order to become a senator in one of the districts in the Philippines.

Yesterday, Nurul Izzah was barred from entering Sarawak immediately after she arrived at the Kuching International Airport at about 4 pm.

Nurul Izzah, who is also a PKR vice-president, arrived on flight AK5120 and later returned to Kuala Lumpur on flight AK5211.
