The search and rescue teams today found the body of the sixth victim of a fishing tragedy in Kampung Timah, Bukit Beruntung.

The fully-clothed body of Mohd Ikhwan Mohd Ridhwan, 10, was found in the waters of Sungai Selangor, at about 10.20am.

Bomba Selangor Operations deputy director Mohd Sani Harul said the body will be brought to the Kuala Kubu Hospital for identification and a post mortem.

He said identification was carrie out based on the clothes on the victim.

The SAR operation which entered the third day is expected to be carried out until 7pm.

In the incident around 5pm Friday, eight children aged between nine and 12 years from a housing area were swept by strong currents while they were fishing with scoop nets in a nearby river.

One of them managed to swim to safety while five were found drowned.

The four other children who drowned were two siblings, Shahrizat Abdullah, 12, and Shahrizwan, 10; Amirul Hakimi Khairul Amru, 9; and Muhammad Iskandar Shah, 12.

SAR operations have been intensified to locate Muhammad Aiman Kamarul Ariffin, 12.
