The implementation of the National Civics Bureau (BTN) programme should suit the location of the target groups in the state, said Sabah BTN director Datuk Ibrahim Saad.

He said this was to ensure that the programme implemented would be more effective.

"In the rural areas for example, the BTN activities are more effective when they are held within the compounds of the village houses compared to the community halls because the situation and environment are more conducive," he told Bernama at a programme organised by Sabah BTN, near here.

The seminar with the theme 'national transformation generate excellent villagers' was held with the cooperation of the Padang Malaga Pirasan Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) and the village's Youth HERO Club.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim said the BTN would cooperate with Kampung Pirasan to implement various programmes for the benefit of the local residents.

"Transformation begins from the village, the residents here must change and develop the village," he added.
