The woman who claimed herself to be the 'Bonda Ratu' or 'Queen Mother' and her husband were released on police bail today.

Jasin District Police chief DSP Sampornak Ismail said the couple in her 40s were remanded for four days from Friday to assist in investigation on the organising of an award ceremony that was not recognised.

"The couple were released but investigation on the case is still ongoing," he told reporters here today.

Police arrested the couple in their home at Sungai Rambai, Jasin near here at about 2 pm on Thursday to help investigation into the case.

Police investigated the case after receiving a report from the public who received invitations to the 'Penganugerahan Salasilah Keturunan Raja Tiang Bongkok Kesultanan Alam Kerinchi Tinggi Nan Sakti' ceremony which was originally planned to be held in Sungai Rambai last Saturday.
