Bodies of two teenage boys were found in a car in Kampung Panchor, here, early today.

The bodies were discovered by members of the public who passed by the area at about 5:55 am this morning.

Police confirmed the discovery of the bodies and said that investigation is ongoing, including waiting for the autopsy results.

Initial examination of the bodies by the police did not find any injuries, but there appeared to be mucous exuding from the nose.

According to Kota Bharu deputy police chief Supt Setapa Yusof, the bodies of the two victims, both aged 18, were found lying on the front seats while the other on the back seats of the Perodua Kelisa car in front of a house.

"We were informed of the discovery by the public at 5:55 am this morning," he said when contacted.

The victims were identified as Mohamad Nizam Riza Sharul from Kampung Gertak Sagu and Nik Hafiz Nik Zam Zam from Kampung Panchor, Kemumin.

Setapa added that initial examination found no injury on both bodies and the case was classified as sudden death.

The bodies were taken to the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital here for post-mortem to determine the cause of death.
