The Bersih 5.0 rally planned for tomorrow in Kuala Lumpur is intended more towards raising the people's emotions against the government instead of seeking electoral reform, said Special Affairs Department (Jasa) director-general Datuk Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi.

It was intended to topple the government through demonstrations and such, he said after launching the 'Jasa Sepakat' programme in Kampung Sri Merlong, Rengit, last night.

"It is not clear what Bersih is struggling for. It is using the excuse of demanding electoral reform," he said.

Mohd Puad said the people were wise not to totally accept news circulated on social media and this forced the opposition to resort to demonstrations and talks to raise the people's emotions.
