As of 10.45pm Sunday, the police have received 27 reports on the Bersih 4 rally and opened five investigation papers.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Tajudin Md Isa said 14 of them were lodged Saturday and the rest Sunday.

He said a 21-year-old man was arrested today at the Dataran Merdeka for indecent behavior and failure to produce his identity card.

Nearing midnight, the crowd was huge and lively at Dataran Merdeka as the protesters listened to speeches, sang and danced.

However, the situation was under control, Tajudin said, with the police vigilant against any sign of trouble.

The two-day Bersih 4 rally which the police declared as illegal is organised by the electoral reform group Bersih 2.0 which says it is fighting for clean and fair elections, and a clean government, among other things.

In Kuching and Kota Kinabalu, organisers stopped the rallies at midnight Saturday and at noon Sunday, respectively.
