Former opposition leaderDatuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who was brought to Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) here last night, was admitted to the hospital for scheduled examination and not because of any acute condition, said hospital director, Datuk Dr Zaininah Mohd Zain.

She said Anwar would be in the hospital for a few days, during which he would be attended by a team of specialists.

"It is a scheduled examination and he will be reviewed by specialists ," she said in a statement here today.
