No words can express the relief felt by Midah Angah, the mother of Noreen Yaakob, one of the Orang Asli students from SK Pos Tohoi who was found alive after she had gone missing for 48 days.

Her body went limp from shock after seeing her daughter being brought down from the Civil Defence Department’s ambulance in Gua Musang.

She never imagined that a dream she had a few days ago would indeed become a reality.

“In my dream, an elderly person had approached and said that Noreen is not my child and that she belongs to someone else.

“The person said my daughter is alive in the jungle where there is an abundant of fruits but it is too high to reach,” she said when met here today.

Midah said, she is also puzzled at how her daughter had survived so long in the jungle without any food.

“Maybe she ate dirt and grass to survive,” she said.

Still, her worries are far from over as her son, Haikal, 8, has yet to be found. She is hoping that he would also be found alive.

Midah lost her husband eight years ago while she was pregnant with Haikal.
