The police have detained another man to facilitate investigations into the discovery of the body of a Quran teacher in Kampung Dendong, Jeli, last week.

Kelantan CID chief ACP Ahmad Taufek Abdullah said the 54-year-old suspect was arrested at a coffee shop in Kampung Batu Melintang, Jeli, at 5 pm yesterday.

"Thesuspect however, does not have any family ties with the victim, and his last known address was in Tanah Merah.

"We'll find the last person who met the victim to assist with investigations," he said during a press conference at the Kelantan Police headquarters here, today.

Ahmad Taufek said the suspect was remanded for seven days from today to facilitate investigations and the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Police had previously arrested a 52-year-old man on Friday, who was remanded for sevenday, beginning Saturday.

RuziahSaupi, 50, who had been reported missing since July 28, was found dead on Thursday on the banks of Sungai Pergau, Batu Melintang, Jeli.
