Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Tan Sri Joseph Kurup wishes "Selamat Hari Raya" to Muslims and hoped the celebration is used as a platform to strengthen unity and enhance friendship in the country's plural country.

"Despite being tired, on 'diet' and having to work, we still celebrate Aidilfitri," he said in his Facebook account status here yesterday.

Meanwhile Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, in a statement, today said Aidilfitri should be welcomed with a spirit of solidarity based on brotherhood and the unity of faith and mankind.

"The unity of the people must be cemented based on the pure values of humanity and with the spirit of mutual respect," he added.
