Several opposition parliamentarians walked out of the Dewan Rakyat here today during the tabling of the 2017 Budget.

Before they staged the walk out, they had first provoked Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak which led to a shouting match between lawmakers forcing Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia to intervene.

The Speaker had tried to get the opposition lawmakers to sit and maintain order.

After failing to do so, an irate Pandikar then asked them to leave if they were not interested in listening to the tabling of the budget.

After the chaos subsided at around 6pm, the Prime Minister, who is also Finance Minister, continued with the tabling of the budget and added the opposition lawmakers had shown their true colours.
