Special Branch on Saturday night raided the office of Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) deputy public prosecutor Ahmad Sazilee Abdul Khairi in relation to the probe into 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

According to a source from MACC, the raid which began at 7pm on Saturday had seized several documents and a laptop.

About 12 officers and policemen were involved in the raid at Ahmad Sazilee’s office in Precint 3, Putrajaya.

Sazilee, who is on secondment to MACC from the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) was among the three individuals detained Saturday morning to assist in police probe into Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle-Brown.

Apart from Ahmad Sazilee, the two others were former MACC advisor, Tan Sri Datuk Rashpal Singh and Attorney-General’s Chambers finance and anti-money laundering secretariat member Jessica Gurmeet Kaur.

The three were released on the same day.
