The Malaysia Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) is currently concentrating its investigation on SRC International Sdn Bhd (SRC) the former subsidiary of 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Paul Low said that this is following the step taken by the Attorney-General in placing the investigation against the state investment fund under the police.

He added that MACC had contacted the attorneys of businessman Low Taek Jho or better known as Jho Low, to set the date for questioning.

“Under the SRC investigation, MACC has contacted Jho Low’s attorneys to set the date for his statement to be recorded.

“The outcome of the discussion will however not be revealed to avoid the investigation process from being jeopardised,” said Paul in his written reply to Jelutong MP, Jeff Ooi.

Ooi in had questioned what the MACC is doing to track Jho Low to aid in the investigation of 1MDB

He also asked why Jho Low’s passport has yet to be cancelled to ensure that he returns home.
