The interim report on 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) has been completed according to schedule, the Auditor-General's (AG) office said in a statement today.

The report was scheduled on June 30.

The report will be handed over to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) at a briefing scheduled for July 9, AG office said.

“The interim report is the result of the audit carried out by the AG from March 10 to June 15,” the AG office said.

The AG's audit on the company is still ongoing and a complete report will be handed to the PAC as soon as possible by year, the statement read.

In March, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak instructed the AG to independently verify 1MDB accounts and had had informed the Cabinet of the move.
