1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) former chief executive officer Datuk Shahrol Azral Ibrahim Halmi should be probed by the authorities for the company's weakness and constraints, the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) said.

In a 106-page report tabled in Parliament today, the PAC urged the authorities to investigate Shahrol Azral and those related.

Shahrol Azral first gave his testimony to the PAC on Nov 25 last year on 1MDB's governance starting from the Terengganu Investment Authority (TIA) in 2009 until the official establishment of 1MDB in September 2009.

The PAC also heard Shahrol Azral's testimony on the formation of the joint venture company 1MDB-PetroSaudi.

He was called again to give his testimony on Nov 30.
