Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) MPs have given their full support to Pakatan Harapan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to form a new government, said Amanah president Mohamad Sabu.

In a statement today, Mohamad said the support was as decided by the Pakatan Harapan Presidential Council before.

"As decided by the previous Pakatan Harapan Presidential Council, Parti Amanah confirmed that all 11 Parti Amanah Negara MPs fully support the leadership of Datuk Seri Anwar as the chairman of Pakatan Harapan and give him the confidence to form a new government," he added.

In a press conference earlier today, Anwar, who is also the Port Dickson Member of Parliament, said he had strong majority support from Members of the Dewan Rakyat to form a new government.

He added that with that support, the Perikatan Nasional Government led by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has 'fallen'.
