The discovery of the body of missing senior deputy public prosecutor Anthony Kevin Morais in Subang Jaya Wednesday, in a concrete-filled drum was a gruesome end to the high-profile personality who was abducted on Sept 4.

Nevertheless, at least 10 cases where murder victims were found cemented or in concrete-filled drums had been reported since 1998, according to records at the Bernama Library and Infolink Service (BLIS).

* On Feb 11, this year, the skeletal remains of a man were found in a blue plastic barrel which was cemented, and dumped in a pond in Kampung Timah, Bukit Beruntung, Selangor.

The victim was murdered about 10 weeks before the body was found.

* On March 21, 2009, the police found the body of a man in a cement-filled plastic barrel at a road-shoulder at Kampung Parit Punggur Darat in Muar, Johor.

* On July 29, 2006, an unidentified body of a murdered victim was found in a drum containing cement at a construction site in Taman Putra Perdana, Sepang, Selangor.

* On Nov 16, 2005, the body of a man, believed to be a Pakistani was found in a barrel filled with water, cemented and buried in the compound of his rented house in Kampong Pasir Puteh, Kelantan.

* On March 25, 2005, an Indonesian man's body was found in a drum which was cemented on the top and bottom of the drum in a forest near Taman Nilai Perdana, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. He was identified as Adi Haida, 31.

* On Jan 9, 2004, a rotting corpse was found buried in a cemented metal barrel by the banks of the Bonus River at a site project of the Kuala Lumpur City Hall in Air Panas, Setapak.

* On April 11, 2000, the body of a man was found in a cement-coated drum at a dump site in Kampung Hicom, Seksyen 28, Shah Alam.

* On June 29, 2012, a human skeleton was found in a cement-filled oil drum by a backhoe operator who was cleaning the forest area in Kampung Baru Balakong, Kajang.

* On April 9, 1998, the body of a Bangladeshi was found in a drum whose surface was cemented, at a river bank in Batu 9 Selayang, Kuala Lumpur.
