Shah Faisal Shinwari, also known as Carnage on YouTube, leapt off the bridge as part of a dare from a viewer of his YouTube channel.
According to The Daily Mail, the 17-year-old said he could not move as soon as he hit the water.
He was rescued by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) but was later criticized as the institution relies on charity donations from the public for their rescue operations.
The Marine Policing Unit was also reportedly called to the scene soon after the jump and they too criticized the budding actor’s actions.
“Please don’t jump from any of London's bridges as a prank,” it tweeted just after the rescue.
Shinwari uploaded the video on his YouTube channel on July 23.
It has received 1,224,635 views (as of press time).
However, it received 4,051 ‘dislikes’ as compared to 1,596 ‘Likes’.
He also said on his YouTube page that all money generated from the advertisement from the video will be donated to the RNLI.
“I made quite a bad decision. I won't be quitting, I have built up a fan base, but I'm not going to do anything that extreme again.
"Basically it was a dare from one of my subscribers. It was a really stupid idea and I wouldn't recommend anyone try to do it.
“I would definitely think about giving a donation to the RNLI to thank them,” he was quoted in the British daily.
