Snapchat is set to branch out into the music video business.

The social media platform has been working with musician Goldroom (aka Josh Legg) this week to release a series of music videos specifically designed to be watched on mobile phones, The New York Times reports.
Each of the four clips, set to be released daily through Friday, have been shot in "portrait" format for easier mobile viewing.

The move confirms Snapchat's media-savvy approach to entertainment content. In January this year the platform launched "Discover", allowing users access to content from media channels including Vice, ESPN and Warner Music.
