Fans of J.K Rowling are urging the author of the mega-popular Harry Potter series to conduct a masterclass on how to handle trolls.

This follows Rowling's recent tweets in which she took jibe at some netizens, after a call for a boycott started by U.S President, Donald Trump supporters.

It all started when she reposted an old tweet by U.S Vice President ,Mike Pence with a bible verse to accompany the tweet.

This tweet caused a firestorm on social media.

It was not well received by Trump supporters, who said they will burn her 'Harry Potter' books and movies.

Rowling replied back by saying that the fumes from the DVDs will be toxic and she still got their money – referring to her book royalties.

After posting a series of tweets, Rowling supporters requested a masterclass on how to handle internet trolls.

Rowling is not new to Twitter war.

It was reported by international media that in 2014, the author shut down a homophobic fan after she revealed Dumbledore was gay.

She also lost a considerable number of Twitter followers last year when tweeting her resentment over Britain's decision for Brexit.
