The wish of a married couple to celebrate National Day in London was finally achieved when they concluded their motorcycle riding mission in front of the Malaysian Embassy in the capital of the United Kingdom this evening.

"Alhamdulillah. Have arrived at the embassy's office after travelling for 146 days," said the former bank employee Mohd Alfishahrin Zakaria, 31, who was accompanied by his wife Diana Latief, 30, via a live posting on Facebook.

Through the video of a two-minute duration, they were seen being welcomed by several officials of the Malaysian Embassy who congratulated them.

Previously they had planned to fly the Jalur Gemilang in London because the independence of Malaysia was attained as an outcome of the signing of the agreement in the English city.

The couple explored 23 countries with a motorcycle of 150cc engine capacity under the Selangor Drug Prevention Association's drug free youth inspirational programme since April 8.

They have the support of several international motoring companies such as IVI Malaysia, STT SPROCKET and MYBIKERZ, besides spending almost RM40,000 to achieve the mission.

Prior to this, Mohd Alfishahrin rode solo to 1000 Corner Thailand in 2015 as well as travelled solo to the seven national borders of Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, China, Vietnam, Camdodia and Singapore in 2016.
