Singapore's founding father and first Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew, 91, died 3.18am on Monday at the Singapore General Hospital after suffering from severe pneumonia, the Prime Minister's Office announced.

As the condolences continues to pour in, it is obvious that he was a very well-respected individual and looked up to as a symbol of a successful country. And over the decades he had built his nation, we can look back and learn.
