Sarawak is still sheltering 910 flood victims from 230 families at four evacuation centres as at 8am today.

A spokesman from the National Security Council when contacted said the Selangau District in the Sibu Division had the highest number of victims at 701 people from 172 families who are at two evacuation centres.

"We still have 96 victims from 19 families in one evacuation centre in the Betong Division.

"Next is the Sarikei Division where we also still have 63 evacuees from 20 families in one evacuation centre,"

He added the number of victims in the Mukah Division too remained the same with one evacuation centre sheltering 50 victims from 19 families.

Meanwhile, in KOTA KINABALU, Sabah Civil Defence Department director Colonel Mulliadi Al-Hamdi Ladin said 51 people from 15 families in Kg Pancur, Kota Marudu were moved to Dewan Komuniti Kota Marudu after their village was hit by flash floods following heavy rain overnight.
