SINGER-songwriter Yuna have made the nation proud again, by being the first Malaysian to be nominated for a Black Entertainment Television (BET) award.

The annual awards by the BET network celebrates African Americans and other minorities in various fields of entertainment.
Yuna is in the running for BET Centric award for her song Crush, a duet with Usher.

The Centric award was formerly awarded to neo soul and/or traditional R&B artists, but since 2013, BET has been used to recognise specific songs.

This year’s BET Awards airs on June 25, 2017 in the United States.
