The famous animated series produced by Hanna-Barbera in the 1960s and 1980s will be resurrected in a feature, Deadline reveals.

There's no format immune to the reboot trend, which is striking movies, live-action TV shows and even animated series. The latest victim is "The Jetsons," which Warner is looking to dust off for the big screen, according to Deadline.

First aired in the early 1960s and later revived in the 1980s, the Space Age series is set in the year 2062 and centers on George, Jane, Elroy and Judy Jetson, whose lives are made easier by nifty machines and artificial intelligence, including the family's robotic maid Rosie.

Matt Lieberman, who contributed to the screenplay of Warner's animated Scooby-Doo movie, has been tasked with writing the "Jetsons" reboot feature, which is also to be animated.
