According to Thewrap.com, British actor Tom Hiddleston, known for playing Loki in "Thor" and "The Avengers," could land the lead in a new movie adaptation of "The Crow" by James O'Barr.

According to reports, Hiddleston has already done a make-up test to play Eric Draven in the remake by Relativity Media.

The part -- a rock guitarist who comes back from the dead to get revenge for the deaths of him and his wife's deaths -- was to be played by Bradley Cooper, then Channing Tatum, Mark Wahlberg and finally James McAvoy.

It seems that Spanish director F. Javier Gutierrez will direct Hiddleston in the remake of this 1994 movie starring Bruce Lee's son, Brandon Lee, who died during filming.

Since then, sequels have been made with Vincent Perez and Eric Mabius in the lead role.
