Malaysia’s top songbird, Datuk Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin said she is looking forward to record more songs composed by world renowned Indian composer, A. R. Rahman.

Siti said she was willing to take up the challenge as many of her followers were multi-racial who always expect her to take up new challenges.

"I admire A.R. Rahman's talents as a singer and composer and want to collaborate with him in a song," she told a press conference at the grand final of Astro’s International Superstar programme at Putrajaya International Convention Centre, here last night.

The 36-year-old diva recalled her experience in belting out a Tamil song composed by A.R.Rahman titled 'Nenje Ezhu' (Oh heart rise up) which is a promotional song to highlight the Astro’s International Super Star 2015 programme.

She said recording the 20-minute composition was a new experience for her as she took some time to listen to the intonation, pronunciation and lyrics of the song.

But she said, a deep understanding of melody as an artiste helped her to perform the song.

During the grand final competition, Siti together with other prominent artistes sang the 'Nenje Ezhu' song in their opening performances.

The grand final of International Super Star 2015 programme aiming to produce best singing talents in the country is pitted in three different groups where contestants from each group will compete each other to clinch the the super star title with the help of their respective mentors.

The competition, in its 15th consecutive year, has gone global for the first time with the participation of contestants from five countries mainly Malaysia, Singapore, Mauritius, Canada and India.

The "Vellithirai" team emerged as champion at the event and walked away with a whopping USD100,000, while the "Vinmeen" and "Vaanavil" team who emerged as the first and 2nd runner up respectively and received USD70,000 and USD40,000.
