A member of popular nasyid group Brothers, Mohd Salleh Mohamed Deril, 40, passed away at the University Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM) here today.

According to the Facebook group Nasyidkini, Mohd Salleh was admitted to the hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for heart disease and high blood pressure.

Previously, he was warded at a hospital in Klang before being transferred to PPUM.


Brothers was formed in 1995 and the other members include Yasin Sulaiman, Faiz and Syah.

After 10 years without any new materials, the group made a comeback with ‘Sabar’, the 10-track album in 2015.
