Actress Rozita Che Wan, 40, ended her widowhood and is now officially 'Mrs Zain' after she and 29-year-old Zain Saidin successfully tied the knot in a fancy solemnisation ceremony last night.

The marriage was solemnised by Selangor Religious Department chief registrar Aluwi Parman who was represented by Rozita's younger brother and 'wali' (guardian) Roshidi Che Wan, at 9.04pm at the Setia City Convention Centre in Shah Alam.

Zain managed to recite the pronouncement of marriage (lafaz nikah) in one attempt, witnessed by some 200 guests comprising family members, friends and the media.

The 'Oh My English' actor presented his bride with nine trays of gifts and dowries worth RM32,500 (RM9,300 'mas kahwin' and RM23,200 'wang hantaran'), and RM93,000 wedding ring.

The nine trays included three designer handbags, five pairs of shoes, chocolates, perfumes, 'tepak sireh' (betel leaf container), a mobile phone, a copy of the al-Quran and prayer mat.

Rozita also presented nine trays of wedding gifts to her husband which included five pairs of Louis Vuitton (LV) shoes, five shirts, LV leather goods, a cake, 'sireh junjung' (betel trellis), five sets of perfumes, five pairs of 'baju Melayu', a Pandora charm bracelet and a ring.

After their black-tie wedding reception this Friday, the celebrity couple will depart to Rome, Milan, Venice, Frankfurt and Amsterdam for a two-week honeymoon beginning Dec 16.
