The documentary "Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck" will show in cinemas across 72 countries, it has been revealed.

Director Brett Morgen made the announcement at the South by Southwest festival this week, Rolling Stone reports. The documentary, which follows the life of the talented but troubled musician, is said to contain a previously unheard Cobain track.

The film will be released in cinemas across the world from April 10, starting with New York, Seattle and Los Angeles. It will be shown on HBO on May 4, with a DVD release scheduled for November.
