'Redhaku Untukmu' directed by Dira Abu Zahar won the best telefilm at the Anugerah Kaseh Tribute P. Ramlee 2016 (P Ramlee Awards Night).

The telefilm also received the Best Director award through Dira and Best Actress award through Sharifah Sakinah.

This earned the team a trophy and RM20,000.

The Best Actor award went to Che Kem, whose real name is Mohd Kamarulzaman Taib, through the telefilm titled 'Sri Bulan'.

The award ceremony was broadcast live on TV1 from Auditorium Perdana, Angkasapuri, here, last night.

Ministry of Communications and Multimedia secretary-general Datuk Seri Dr Sharifah Zarah Syed Ahmad was also present.

Meanwhile, the film 'Kembara Nak Dara' received the Special Jury Award, picking up a trophy and cash prize of RM5,000.

The P. Ramlee Tribute Award organised by Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) and the Utusan Group in collaboration with Suhan Movies and Trading Sdn Bhd was held for the third time, in recognition of 15 telelfilms pitched based on P. Ramlee's songs.

The selection for the awards from the telefilms featured on the 'Tribute P.Ramlee' slot on TV1 was done via a professional jury and audience voting.

The 15 telefilms shortlisted for the awards were Saling, Tanya Sama Pokok, Segalanya Dia, Biar Biola Berbicara, Sri Bulan, Hey Missy!, Kalau Jodoh Tak Ke Mana, Redhaku Untukmu, Putih Kemboja, Apek dan Siti, Peluang Kedua, Malam Ku Bermimpi, Kembara Nak Dara, Aku dan Dia, and Sabotaj.

The event also featured presentations from artistes such as Datuk Siti Nurhaliza, Ziana Zain, Celine Azhar, Zarul Umbrella, and Acapella Color of Voices. -- Bernama
