Malaysian-born Hollywood actress Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh will attend the International Automobile Federation (FIA) Asia Pacific Sports Regional Congress during a three-day visit to Nepal, beginning April 23.

Govinda Bhattarai, general secretary of the Nepal Automobile Sports Association (NASA), the local host of the FIA regional congres, said Yeoh would attend the congress as guest of honour.

She would also meet Nepalese authorities and leaders, as well as give lectures on road safety and sports tourism, he added in a statement here Friday.

He said Yeoh, accompanied by her fiance Jean Todt, who is FIA president, was scheduled to meet Nepalese President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, Sports Minister Purusottam Poudel, Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Bimalendra Nidhi and other officials.

According to Bhattarai, NASA is FIA’s sporting authority in Nepal, which has been regularly organising events on road safety, motor sports and automobile mobility and tourism.
