Malaysia's darling songstress Datuk Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin regrets not being able to pay her last respects to her good friend, Tunku Abdul Jalil Iskandar Sultan Ibrahim, who passed away yesterday.

"I have lost a friend, someone I can joke with or motivate me when I'm down," said Siti who expressed her sadness on her Instagram account earlier today.

"Lil, forgive Mak Iti for not being able to pay my last respects, but you will be forever be in my prayers. Al-Fatihah," she said.

Siti Nurhaliza said she considered Tunku Abdul Jalil, or 'Lil', as how he is fondly known to her, as the "people's prince".

It is understood that the singer is going through a lot right now, having experienced a miscarriage just last Thursday.



The last time Siti Nurhaliza visited Tunku Abdul Jalil was two weeks ago. She shared her meet with the Johor prince on her Instagram account.


Tunku Abdul Jalil, the Tunku Laksamana of Johor, breathed his last at 7.11pm on Saturday at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor Bahru.

He had been battling Stage 4 liver cancer and had previously underwent a liver transplant in China.
