The Johor government through Tourism Johor has allocated RM150,000 for the 'Johor Bahru Film Grants', a programme aimed at highlighting people's creativity and innovation through the creation of films that revolve around the identity of the state.

State Tourism, Trade and Consumerism Committee chairman Datuk Tee Siew Kiong said the programme was open to all especially young people who are interested in film production.

He said selected grant recipients would each receive a grant worth RM5,000 to RM6,000 for the creation of a Johor-related short film and would have the opportunity to present their work at the Johor Bahru Film Festival to be held in October.

Those interested can apply at www.thinkcity.com.my starting today until the closing date on July 20 and must send together the synopsis of the film that will be produced.
