A NEW batch of singers has been added to the list of those contributing to Netflix's new animated series "Beat Bugs," reports Billboard.

Jennifer Hudson, Rod Stewart, Aloe Blacc, Robbie Williams, Frances, Tori Kelly and The Lumineers join Pink, Eddie Vedder and Regina Spektor in contributing to the series, debuting August 3, which sees contemporary artists singing The Beatles' classic hits.

The series also looks forward to a second season, planned for November 18 in the US and available to Australian viewers via the Seven Network.

A 27-track, two-disc soundtrack for the series' first season will be available on Apple Music on its August 3 premier, with a CD version available on November 4. The series' soundtrack for the second season will be released sometime in November.
