An Indian movie, which has become the country's highest-grossing film to date, will soon be dubbed in several foreign languages, including Chinese, China's Xinhua news agency reported.

Widely touted as India''s answer to Hollywood's Game of Thrones, the movie -- Bahubali 2: The Conclusion -- from the regional film industry in the south, has netted over 10 billion rupees (US$156 million) since its nationwide release on April 28.

Now, the filmmakers have decided to dub the South Indian blockbuster in a number of foreign languages such as Chinese, Japanese, German, France and Korean.

"The film has already been dubbed in Hindi, the country''s official language. Dubbing has been done in other Indian regional languages. Now it will be dubbed in a number of foreign languages too," a film distributor said on condition of anonymity.

Bahubali 2 (one with strong arms), the sequel to the epic historical fantasy film Bahubali 1 which is set in the fictional ancient Indian kingdom of Mahismati, is a story of two cousins locked in a bitter dynastic war over the kingdom.

The movie is packed with expensive special effects, which have turned it into a visual spectacle usually unseen in Indian films. India cinema makes films in nearly 40 languages and dialects. Bollywood or Hindi movie industry, based in Mumbai, is the largest in the country.
