Days after former radio presenter Farah Fauzana made public her plans to cancel her wedding, the mystery man that was to be the groom has finally come out of his shell to deny allegations that he is a married man.
In a statement sent through WhatsApp today, Mohamed Hafiz Badiuzzaman said he has never been married and has never concealed his marital status from Farah.
Many have alleged it was the main reason behind the wedding cancellation which was announced by Farah on Sunday.
“I was never married. I had never kept my marital status a secret from Farah Fauzana. My marital status was not the reason that the wedding was called off as reported by a local daily yesterday.
“The reason why the wedding was called off is only best known to Farah,” said the 30-year-old businessman in a statement sent through WhatsApp today.
The undersigned, Mohamed Hafiz also said, the publishing of libellous accusations without properly verifying the information has caused irreparable disrepute to his standing in society and in the business community.
Apart from that, it has caused unnecessary emotional distress and damages to him and his immediate family members.
Hafiz also appealed to members of the press to give him and his family some privacy as he is still trying to recover from the cancellation of his own wedding.
On Sunday, Farah announced the cancellation of her wedding plans to a businessman named Hafiz which was supposed to take place on September 17, citing personal reasons.
She said she had also sought advice from her parents and family members before coming to the decision.
