ACTOR Robert Downey Jr. rattled the city of Paris after he hacked the lighting system of the Eiffel Tower just so the iconic structure would reflect the colours of his character in 'Iron Man'.

Like, seriously?

A video on YouTube released recently saw Downey Jr. scheming the plot to 'terrorise' the tower.

It showed him scrolling through the tower's lighting system on his device before setting it to red and gold.

The good news is, the 51-year-old did not end up in jail for being a nuisance in the City of Love.

It was later learnt that it was a scene to promote the French premiere of Captain America: Civil War to be released on April 27.

“Team Cap, I mean... how do you come back from that?” joked Downey Jr. in the 91-second clip on the rivalry between the two main characters.

Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War found the key character, Steve Rogers leading the newly-formed team of Avengers in their efforts to safeguard humanity.

But after another incident involving the Avengers resulted in collateral damage, political pressure mounted to the installation of a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team.

The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference while the other superheroes bowed down to Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

The movie will be released in Malaysia on April 28.
