Batman v Superman:Dawn of Justice, for me is a visually gorgeous movie. Although the overall storyline can be better developed, the film managed to break my heart in the end.

One thing for sure, I cried like a baby while watching this reaction movie for Man of Steel, from the same director, Zack Snyder, making this film, personally, a non typical superhero movie. I shed my tears because of the emotional scenes of losing a parent as well as losing a child.

When past action/superhero movie only place women as sidelines, this one holds a lot of emotions and it uplifts the role of women – Lois Lane, Clark Kent’s mom, Martha, Bruce Wayne’s mom – also called Martha and of course the introduction of Wonder Woman! Hence, making it a movie that girls should watch or rather can I call this action film a chick flick?

However, despite the scenic visuals, beautiful men, women and aliens, impeccable play of CGI, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’s writers, David S Goyer and Chris Terrio could have done more to develop the characters in this film.

For example, it boggled my mind to why Batman and Superman fight each other in this film. I know exactly why when I read the comic when I was younger but somehow that series of lengthy explanation and reasoning from the comic got short lived in the movie – making Batman seemed slightly bipolar.

And to me, the action really begins when full suited Wonder Woman enters the scene and does her thing – kicking ass of super ugly demon.

Nonetheless, Batman v Superman:Dawn of Justice brings together great icons, pairing iconic superheroes in comic Batman and Superman as well as superheroes in the silver screen – Oscar winner Ben Affleck who played Batman/Bruce Wayne and Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent.

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own frightful, dynamic vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most honoured, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with each other, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it has ever known before.

This film also stars Oscar nominees Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, and Laurence Fishburne as Perry White; Oscar winners Jeremy Irons played the loyal butler and accomplice Alfred, and Holly Hunter as Senator Finch; and the sultry Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/ Diana Prince.

And if you are yet to watch Batman v Superman:Dawn of Justice, here’s a tip, don’t go waiting for the end of end credit – it is really long and no there aren’t any post end credit scenes for this one.
