Actor Benjy detained in Indonesia over drug possession
He was acquitted from drug possession charge April last year.
KUALA LUMPUR: Local actor, Khaeryl Benjamin or Benjy, was detained by Indonesian police in North Sumatera, for possessing syabu.

Indonesian news portal Detik.com reported Benjy was apprehended on Tuesday night, right after he landed at Kualanamu International Airport, Medan.

He had reportedly hid the syabu inside his anus.
The 38 year-old actor was in Medan on personal trip.

"During inspection, we found two packets of syabu weighed 14 grams which were hidden in his anus," police was quoted saying to the local media.

Benjy told the police that he had brought the drug from Kuala Lumpur.

Benjy, the son of the late actress Azean Irdawaty, had previously been detained over drug-related cases.

He was acquitted from drug possession charge April last year.
