Pakatan Rakyat (PR) is confident with Selangor Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim to spearhead the state government although there is a rumour that Khalid will be contesting for parliamentary seat in the 13th General Election.

Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) deputy-president, Mohamed Azmin Ali said people in Selangor are confident with the present state administration by Pakatan Rakyat under the leadership of Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

“We are confident with the achievement that was brought by Khalid especially in managing the economy and administration of the state. Therefore, our focus now is not only to retain the seat that we won in 2008 but to achieve a bigger win in this General Election,” Azmin told reporters at PKR headquarters in Petaling Jaya today.

When asked about the talk that he is among the Pakatan Rakyat’s men that are going to be the next Selangor Menteri Besar if Pakatan win the state, he said that the matter will be decided after Pakatan win the state.

“After we win, then only we can decide who is really can be the Selangor Menteri Besar,” he said.

Pakatan Rakyat won 34 seats in Selangor while Barisan Nasional won 21 seats in 2008's general election.
