Over the past three years after the 13th general election (GE13), the Terengganu government allocated RM30 million for the implementation of development projects at each state constituency (DUN) won by Barisan Nasional (BN).

Menteri Besar Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman said the allocation was a token of appreciation from the state government for the support given by the people to the BN leadership.

At the same time, he said the allocation should also be seen as a motivation to BN and UMNO leaders to work harder to gain the support of the people and to ensure victory for the coalition in the next general election.

"If they win, each DUN will get RM10 million (annually) to implement development projects that will benefit the people. Only BN can do this for the people.

"This can also motivate BN leaders to remain committed to work for the party and to ensure that the people would continue giving the mandate to BN to lead the state in the next general election," he told reporters after placing the foundation stone for the Binjai Rendah Commercial Centre project here today.

The RM8.2 million project is expected to be completed in 18 months. - BERNAMA
