Petron Malaysia has assured customers that there will be no supply disruption while confirming a fire at its Port Dickson Refinery last night.

In a statement here today, it said the fire broke out at 9pm but was immediately put out at 11pm with nobody hurt.

"While we are still assessing the damages, we can confirm there is no supply disruption to customers.

"We wish to assure the public that safety is our utmost priority and that we adhere to safety standards at all times", it said.

Petron also accorded its appreciation to the emergency responders, Fire and Rescue Department and Shell Refinery for their assistance and coordinated efforts to put out the fire as well as the Police Department for assisting the emergency responses.

Petron Malaysia is one of the country's leading downstream oil companies and its 88,000-barrel-per-day Port Dickson Refinery produces a wide variety of world-class fuels which are distributed through eight terminals strategically located nationwide.

Through 560 stations nationwide, it retails premium fuels namely Blaze 100 Euro 4M, Blaze 97 Euro 4M, Blaze 95 and Diesel Max.
