Pesona Metro Holdings Bhd, via its wholly-owned unit Pesona Metro Sdn Bhd, had won a RM87.15 million construction job from Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd.

The job involves the construction and completion of the remaining and rectification works of government office building and external works for the Election Commission head office at Precinct 2 in Putrajaya.

The project is expected to take 11 months to complete, and defects liability period shall expire 24 months from the date of the Certificate of Practical Completion.

The project, which is expected to be funded by Pesona's internally-generated funds, is expected to contribute positively to the company's earnings for the current financial year as well as fiscal ending December 31, 2014.

For the first quarter ended March 31, the company recorded a net profit of RM4.06 million on the back of RM73.74 million in revenue.
