Tourism Perak is targeting RM40 million in sales of tour packages in its Cuti-Cuti 1Malaysia campaign at the state level 2015 Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Fair held at Ipoh Parade here.

Perak Tourism, Arts and Culture, Multimedia and Communications Committee chairman Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohd Radzi said the three-day tourism fair is expected to draw more than 30,000 visitors.

"The tagline, 'Dekat Je', hopes to drive home the message that tourist destinations in Malaysia is just nearby.

"In fact, Perak had the highest domestic tourist arrivals last year with seven million visitors.

"As such, tour operators should seize the opportunity to close as much sales to meet this year's target," she said at the launch of the campaign in conjunction with Perak MATTA Fair 2015.
