Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) and its wholly-owned unit, Malaysia Airports (Sepang) Sdn Bhd, have denied that any sums are due and owing to AirAsia Bhd.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, MAHB said the claims, made in a letter of demand (LOD) served by AirAsia, were unjustified and unsupported by any particulars.

"The facts relied upon by AirAsia to support its claims are misleading and tainted with factual inaccuracies," it said.

On July 31, AirAsia said it has served a LOD amounting to RM409 million on MAHB and Malaysia Airports (Sepang) for loss and damages incurred as a result of operating from klia2 and the Low-Cost Carrier Terminal.
